How does the ‘Come & Sing’ work?

This ‘Come & Sing’ is designed to be a really enjoyable way to sing one of the great masterpieces of the choral repertoire, the Mozart Requiem, particularly if you a) have not sung it before and it is a work that you have always wanted to sing or b) have sung it before, and welcome the chance to sing it again without having to commit more than one afternoon and evening.

If you are thinking ‘I would really like to do that but I don’t know it / love singing but haven’t sung with a Choral Society’ then please be assured that you will be very welcome, and surrounded by supportive voices.

We do ask that you please register as early as possible before the day so that we know numbers & music requirements, other than that simply arrive in good time to sign in, be ready to sing at 1:00pm, and bring a pencil!

During the afternoon we will be rehearsed (and probably worked quite hard) by professional conductor Gregory Batsleer to bring us to a high a standard, of course with a refreshment break, finishing at 5:30pm. The choir then reassembles at 6:30pm for a performance, again under the baton of Gregory Batsleer – together with professional soloists – both for our own benefit and for the enjoyment of a ‘friends & family’ audience.

Do ask yours to join us…
